At Jot, when winter hits and the temperature drops, we have our own special way of staying warm: We add layers...of whipped cream.
Because Ultra Coffee concentrate is so pure, it lets all the subtle nuances of our perfectly roasted organic coffee beans shine through even when you’re mixing Jot with sugar and cream. That’s why Jot is perfect for specialty seasonal drinks like this one for a classic Irish Coffee made with Ultra Coffee concentrate.
To get this recipe exactly right, we recommend using a small amount of heavy whipping cream – not half-and-half – and only slightly whipping it.
By not fully whipping the cream, you’ll get a silkier texture that will more thoroughly blend with the sweet brown sugar and the liquid coffee concentrate, creating a mind-blowing flavor that perfectly pairs the rich coffee with the molasses notes in the brown sugar. This Irish Ultra Coffee is all about pure potential
And because Jot is all about pure potential, feel free to adjust this recipe to match your taste. If you want to leave out the whiskey or make yours a little more or less sweet, go for it.
If you want to make a vegan Irish coffee, we recommend substituting coconut cream as your vegan cream replacement. Simply put a can of coconut milk in the fridge overnight, then skim the thick coconut cream from the top and whip it with a wire whisk as you would with dairy whipping cream. (For another great vegan recipe using coconut milk, check out our Vietnamese Iced Ultra Coffee.)
