It may only be March, and the weather report may still have plenty of snow and single digits on the horizon, but after a long, cold winter, we’re declaring iced coffee season to be officially on, regardless of what the forecast says.
So, put on your best sunny-day playlist (and maybe some mittens and extra layers if you have to), because we’re coming in hot and we want you right there with us.
Make your own iced caramel macchiato – but with Ultra Coffee concentrate
To kick it off, we’ve put together a special Spring Menu featuring a few of our new favorite cold brew recipes made with Ultra Coffee concentrate, starting with a chain-coffee classic: the iced caramel macchiato.
Our take on the iced caramel macchiato is the ultimate indulgence – rich, sweet, and creamy. And because it’s made with the best coffee concentrate on the planet, it tastes better than the drive-thru version and saves you a few bucks at the same time.
So here’s how to defy the calendar, the weather, and time itself to treat yourself to the best homemade iced caramel macchiato.
Iced Jot Caramel Macchiato
- 8 oz milk (any type, dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 cup ice
- 1 tbsp vanilla simple syrup (or to taste)
- 1 tbsp Jot coffee concentrate
- Caramel sauce, to drizzle
Drizzle caramel sauce along the inside of your glass before adding ice. Combine milk, vanilla simple syrup, and Jot in a glass over ice. Stir to combine.

For bonus points, try making it with your own homemade vanilla simple syrup. We wrote a whole article on how to make your own flavored syrups, but here’s the TL/DR version:
Vanilla Bean Syrup Recipe
This is everyone's all-time favorite flavored syrup. Few things are as instantly satisfying as a vanilla cold brew made with Ultra Coffee concentrate and your own homemade vanilla syrup.- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 vanilla bean
If using whole vanilla bean, first slice it open lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with your knife. Add the seeds and pod to a medium saucepan with the sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Strain into a clean, airtight container, and store in fridge for up to 10 days.
